LED Device Won't Turn On? Troubleshooting Tips for At-Home Light Therapy Tools
Share
Most issues with an LED mask, wand, or hair tool come down to a handful of simple causes — and most are fixable in a couple of minutes without needing to contact support. Here's what to check first.

Device Won't Turn On
- Charge it fully before troubleshooting further — a deeply drained battery can sometimes take a few minutes on the charger before the power button responds
- Check the charging cable and port for debris, and make sure the cable is fully seated at both ends
- Hold the power button for a full 2-3 seconds rather than a quick tap — many devices, including facial wands and masks, use a long-press to switch on
- If it's been stored for a while, give it a full charge cycle before assuming there's a fault
Lights Are Dim, Flickering, or Uneven
This is usually a battery or contact issue rather than a fault with the LEDs themselves. Try a full charge cycle, and on wands with detachable heads or plates, make sure the attachment is clicked in fully.
Remote Isn't Responding
For remote-controlled devices like the UltraLight Wireless LED Therapy Mask, check that you're within a few metres, line-of-sight, of the mask, and that the remote's own battery isn't the issue — a coin-cell swap solves this more often than people expect.
Mist, Vibration, or a Secondary Function Has Stopped
On multi-function devices, secondary features like nano mist or vibration sometimes have a separate reservoir or button. Check the water or oil chamber isn't empty and that you're pressing the correct mode button rather than the main power button.
